Well, this is going to be a bit uncomfortable. Let's start where there's not a universe where I don't want to see this movie. If I had a "Make A Wish" it would be to see this movie. The problem is that this trailer both excites and infuriates me.
Seriously, how much of the movie are you going to give away in a trailer Hollywood? Watch this trailer and you'll already know how Michael gets out of the fire, how about a dozen of the kills happen, a great sight gag with masks from Halloween III, and more.
Now let's talk about sequel-itis. We're now apparently ramping things up by Michael morphing into something supernatural and Laurie turning into the Strode-inator. While we're at it, I love the look of the character Tommy coming back, but are you really going to tell me that the town is going to hunt for a madman who's killed dozens and the best weapon you can find is a baseball bat? That works for Negan, but I kind of think you need to wrangle up a nuclear-powered chainsaw/bazooka combo, or at least a .38.
Still, I am 100% on target to make my personal return to theaters to check this movie out.
